UAE: Emirates Signs Deal with MCI Group to Become its Official Airline Partner

DUBAI, Aug 28 (WAM) - Emirates, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrier and the world’s largest international airline by passenger traffic, and MCI, an international meetings, events and association management company, yesterday announced a global alliance which will see Emirates becoming the official airline of its large and international events. MCI in turn will be the preferred Professional Congress Organiser, PCO, for Emirates.

UAE: Tawam Hospital Now Offers Lung Cancer Screening - A First for the Nation

AL AIN, Aug 27 (WAM) - Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine and the SEHA Healthcare System, is now offering the first lung cancer screening in Abu Dhabi and in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The programme includes a low-dose computed tomography, LDCT, lung cancer diagnostic screening at its Thoracic Surgery clinic and aims to improve early detection and reduce the risk of lung cancer mortality, the first time such an initiative has been put in place for the disease.

UAE: Al Jalila Foundation Announces Al Warqa’a Endowment Residential Development to Fund Local Medical Research

The six-floor residential building, ‘Al Warqa’a Endowment’, aims to create a 12 per cent return to support local research into some of the most pressing health problems of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
