UAE: Children of Emirati Mothers Granted Country’s Citizenship

ABU DHABI, May 23 (WAM) - The committee formed to execute the directives of United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to grant citizenship to the children of Emirati mothers has confirmed the names of 208 applicants, the children of mothers who met the conditions, to receive the country’s nationality, in preparation for issuing their decrees according to legal procedures and steps and in co-ordination with concerned authorities.

UAE: DEWA Discusses Solar Photovoltaic Network in GCC

DUBAI, May 22 (WAM) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has discussed solar photovoltaic network in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries through the establishment of the ‘GCC Solar Photovoltaic Testing Centres Network.’ This was discussed at an inception meeting and training workshop in Dubai, which was organised in co-operation with the EU-GCC Clean Energy Technology Network, and in association with the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and other organisations from the European Union and the GCC.
