MIDDLE EAST: Debt Issuance Reached $77.8 Billion in 2016

DUBAI, Jan 20 (WAM) - Middle Eastern investment banking fees reached US$820.8 million during 2016, an 18 per cent increase compared to fees recorded during 2015 and the highest annual fee total in the region since 2008, according to the annual investment banking analysis for the Middle East region, by leading business information provider Thomson Reuters.

UAE: Tripling Size of Dubai's International Humanitarian City Approved

UAE: ADNOC Plans to Improve Energy Efficiency by 10% by 2020

ABU DHABI, Jan 18 (WAM) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said yesterday it would implement a host of measures to increase energy efficiency by 10 per cent by 2020. The energy efficiency strategy will reduce ADNOCís gas consumption by 156 million cu. ft. a day, thus saving a total of US$1 billion by that time.
