ABU DHABI, Jul 24 (WAM) - New converts to Islam often speak with awed reverence for the "brotherhood" (or indeed sisterhood) of the faith: that feeling that, wherever you are in the world, you can walk into a mosque, shuffle up to a congregation as they prepare to pray and be treated as one of the group. Islam puts great emphasis on praying together in congregation, which is why praying at a mosque is said to be preferable to praying alone, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) English language newspaper ‘The National’ said in an editorial comment this morning.

UAE: President's Initiatives Committee Approves Construction of 70 Houses in Fujairah

ABU DHABI, Jul 24 (WAM) - Acting on directives of United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and instructions of General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Follow up Committee of the Initiatives of UAE President has approved construction of 70 houses in the Emirate of Fujairah at a total cost of AED 63 million (more than USD17 million).
