Att.Editors: The following item is from the Emirates News Agency (WAM)

ABU DHABI,Sep 12 (WAM) - Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, stated that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has always provided comprehensive opportunities and harnessed its energies to motivate its people and encourage them to increase their productivity and work in a positive manner in all areas.

She also highlighted the country’s many achievements and its leadership in numerous areas, based on its founding principles of peace, compassion and tolerance.

She made this statement during an event marking the start of the new school year, which was organised by the General Administration of the Punitive and Correctional Institutions at the Ministry of Interior, in co-operation with the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, under the slogan, "We Seek to Make You Happy," which targets the sons and daughters of prisoners

Al Qasimi thanked the Ministry of Interior and the Watani Al Emarat Foundation for organising the event, which contributed to realising the vision of the wise leadership to help various segments of the community.

She stressed that the UAE was founded on the values of love, peace and tolerance, and it aims to realise giving, prosperity and happiness for the whole of humanity, without discrimination based on origin, gender, religion, belief, sect or social class. She added that the UAE is working to provide its citizens and residents with a decent life while prioritising education, health, social care and other vital sectors.

She encouraged the participating students at the ceremony to learn about all subjects and specialisations, and to be persistent in achieving their goals. (WAM) (END/2017)
